1. For a wedding the keep in mind the ceremony is about the bride and groom, but your reception is a thank you to your guest for coming and taking part of your big day.
  2. Don’t hide the DJ. The DJ should be in an area close and easily seen f rom the dance floor and accessible to obtain request f rom your guest to play their favorite songs.
  3. For your older family and f riends, don’t seat them close or right in front of the speaker(s).
  4. Weddings never run according to plan. No need to stress! Order of event are required but the timing can be modified.
  5. Keep all your guest in the main room. If using a photo booth or if you have a bar, try and keep them in the same room.
  6. If you have lighting for your reception, the lighting effect will be better in darker rooms.
  7. Remember its your day and your guest will want to be where you are. If you’re on the dancefloor they will be there too.
  8. Don’t feel that you need to a night’s worth of music…. If you want to provide a list provide 20 or so songs and let the DJ do the rest.
  9. Remember your f riends and family may or may not have the same musical taste as you do. Let the DJ read the dancefloor. 
  10. If your on a budget, don’t cheap out on the entertainment. Most guest remember two things f rom wedding: Food & Entertainment.
